Charr bags.
So if i'm a level twenty character with two bags and a belt pouch, can I buy a charr bag off of someone and equip it on to that character?
Or do I need a free bag slot? |

Every character has 1 Backpack by default and can equip 1 belt pouch and 2 additional bags, nothing more.
The Charr bag can only replace one of the 2 additional bags, that you already have. (The Charr Bag has 10 inventory slots. The normal bags have 5 slots by default, but can be extended to 10 slots with a rune of holding.) Also see here for more info: http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Inventory |

Ahh, thankyou very much. I know that I couldnt have gotten extra character storage from it, but I was wondering whether I could replace the bags with charr ones. Which I can - and am happy to hear . Looks like i'm gonna get me a pre searing character :P |

Or.....
You can buy one from the guy I've seen in LA a few times advertising a charr bag for 50k. lol, I don't think he was making any sales. Either he was scamming or he hadn't played since the first day charr bags were added to the game and were sort of a hot item Last edited by Tom Swift; Apr 02, 2009 at 03:35 PM // 15:35.. |

Not really sure on prices atm, but Charr Bags in pre were about 3k-ish. Might be more now, that there are fewer farmers, or it might be less, since Summoning Stones make it easier.

50k is a "little" expensive
~3k should be normal EDIT: I am talking about post-searing prices and not pre. Sorry for the confusion. ^_^ Last edited by take_me; Apr 03, 2009 at 08:38 AM // 08:38.. |

Only if you want to be robbed blind, most charr bags in pre sell for around 750gp give or take.

3k?? Have prices gone up that much since I was last in pre? I've taken over 10 characters through pre and never paid more than 900g for a Charr bag. Price range was anywhere from 750-900g, with 850g being about normal. There also used to be a player in Fort Ranik who would trade a Charr bag for something like 90 Hunter's Ales.

Whew, alot of prices!
In Pre, the Charr bag goes from 700ish to 900ish but if you WTB a Charr bag for 700 it will happen. Alot of bags there now because of the large Pre community. I prefer the Charr bag..it just looks better than the sack gotten from a Merchant. GL finding one....you could pop a new character into pre and collect 700 gold to buy one there and cross into post with it. The 700 gold shouldn't take much time to collect. I seriously doubt anyone would pay 50k for a bag ( as advertised here) . If that were even close to thier worth there would be a glut of bags dragged over from pre ( including mine ) |

Charr Bag in pre now sells for as low as 400g. Highest is 800g but i doubt if anyone is buying at that amount. Average is 500g-600g.
I also saw someone recently selling Charr Bag in Kamadan for double-digit figure. I thought he got it from GWEN so he was selling it super-high because no one who is from Presearing Ascalon would sell it that high (unless he wants to waste his time looking to scam someone for a one time deal). I have 2 Charr Bags in Post Ascalon now because I forgot to leave them in pre when I moved to post. |

Just last night I saw "WTS Charr bag 500g" and one for 600g in PreSearing. They are getting a lot cheaper now. Even the Charr salvage kits have dropped to an average of 4.5K instead of the long time price of 5K each.

Thankyou very much for all the information guys!!
Looks like the pricing of things gets a little blurred when it comes to the seperated, niche community of pre-searing. I'll be making a new character to head in there tonight and grab one. I might have my character hold 1 charr bag and one zhetukas pack, just to be cool xD. |

I hope we get more carrying bags to fill up on our trips (even just 1 more 10 slotter or a quest across campaign or something
to make the 10 slot bags we have expand to 20 slots) with the April update and not just the main storage update I can hope can't I |

This could just be as simple as adding a 'handbook' tab for each character with a space for every single book you need to fill in, but your thing may happen too! |
